The Puzzling World of HR Technology

Our weekly WebMingle is designed to give you some insight into the puzzling world of HR technology, discuss news from around the world that we find interesting, talk about upcoming events in our industry, and provide insightful interviews with people of our industry – who they are, what they do and why you should care. The WebMingle has become the most popular live weekly Internet show in the HR technology industry!

So what is a WebMingle? It is a meeting over the web where we do some business, socialize and yes, we mingle over the web. Thus, a WebMingle.

The 60-minute WebMingle on September 18th, the 36th in our WebMingle series, featured Jeremy Shapiro, SVP with Hodes iQ. It also featured another fun-filled appearance by the HR Weasel (see below). Jeremy has great insight into HR Metrics and talent acquisition processes and technology. We touched on a number of issues related to that including:

We also had another special guest appearance in our studios from the HR Weasel, who has now become a regular on our show. As always, I told him to do a little research on our guest and their company before coming in, which he apparently did. He found out that Panda Express, one of his favorite restaurants, was a client of Hodes iQ and wanted to know what Jeremy usually eats when he goes there. He also wanted to know why the “i” was small in “iQ” and then stuck around the studio for the rest of the show, chiming in here and there. We look forward to his visit on future episodes.
