After many months of anticipation, planning, and buzz throughout the entire HR industry, theHRshow 2009 virtual event came to a completion on Friday with six different presentations for a total of 16 presentations over two days and 5 vendor panels on the first day. The presentations that took place on the final day include:

After many months of anticipation, theHRshow 2009 virtual event finally arrived today with five different vendor panel discussions.
The day got started with the Onboarding Systems vendor panel. Dan Katavola, EVP of Consulting Services with HRchitect was the moderator and the vendors included Emerald Software Group, KMS Software, SilkRoad Technology, and Verifications, Inc.
Then I moderated the Talent Management Systems vendor panel that included Authoria, HRsmart, Kenexa, Taleo, and Workscape.
John Hinojos, the HRchitect VP of Consulting Services then moderated the HR Systems Vendor Panel which included NuView, Patersons, and Spectrum HR. Two last minute cancellations made this the smallest panel of the day.
I was then up again as the moderator of the Learning Management Systems Vendor Panel which included Cornerstone OnDemand, GeoLearning, Plateau Systems, Saba and SumTotal Systems.
The final panel of the day was moderated by Rick Fletcher, President and Founder of HRchitect and was all about Recruiting Systems Vendors. This panel included HRsmart, iCIMS, Kenexa, nowHIRE, Peopleclick, and Taleo.
Day 2 will continue on Thursday with 10 great sessions throughout the day from leading experts in the HR industry.

theHRshow takes place this year on June 10-12, 2009 as a virtual three-day event. It is being offered completely FREE to the HR community through the generosity of HRchitect and our sponsors.

On Friday, January 23, HRchitect held the fifth installation in our Beauty Pageant webinar series, this time focusing on Onboarding Systems. Participants included leading vendors in the Onboarding world – AllegroHR, KMS, SilkRoad, and Verifications, Inc.
If you are interested in Onboarding, I’d recommend you view the presentation on our web site. We covered definitions of Onboarding, reasons you would want to invest in Onboarding technology, benefits of Onboarding (both administrative and strategic), how Onboarding is a key enabler of ITM (Integrated Talent Management), and some predictions around ITM.
At the end of the webinar, SilkRoad was crowned the winner with AllegroHR the runner-up. The presentations were fantastic and HRchitect would like to thank the vendors for participating and the attendees for judging the contestants.
I would also once again extend my personal thanks to Tiffany Appleby, HRchitect’s Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, for her incredible work in making sure these pageants run smoothly. It’s not an easy task and I honestly could not even imagine doing these beauty pageants without her. She does a phenomenal job coordinating the vendor practices and presentations as well as being the production manager during these events and I can’t say enough great things about her.
Past winners included iCIMS in the Talent Acquisitions Systems pageant on November 14 with Authoria the runner-up. Cornerstone OnDemand won the Talent Management Systems pageant on November 21 with Plateau Systems the runner-up. GeoLearning won the Learning Management systems pageant on December 19 with Cornerstone OnDemand the runner-up. iCIMS (their second pageant win) won the mid-market TAS pageant on January 16 with nowHIRE.com the runner-up.

On Friday, January 16, HRchitect held the fourth installation in our Beauty Pageant webinar series, this time focusing on Mid-Market Talent Acquisition Systems. Participants included leading vendors in the mid-market TAS world including: Click and Hire, iCIMS, nowHIRE, SmartRecruiters, SmartSearch and SonicRecruit.
At the end of the webinar, iCIMS was crowned the winner with nowHIRE.com the runner-up. The presentations were fantastic and HRchitect would like to thank the vendors for participating and the attendees for judging the contestants.
This was the second pageant win for iCIMS as they won for Talent Acquisition Systems pageant back on November 14, 2008. It was also the best attended pageant to date and we want to thank our new media sponsor for the pageant series, HRmarketer, for their efforts in increasing attendance to these fun and informative events.
I would also like to extend my personal thanks to Tiffany Appleby, HRchitect’s Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, for her incredible work in making sure these pageants run smoothly. Tiffany does a fantastic job coordinating the vendor practices and presentations as well as being the production manager during these events and I can’t say enough great things about her. On Friday, December 19, HRchitect held the third installation in our Beauty Pageant webinar series, this time focusing on Learning Management Systems. Participants included leading vendors in the LMS world – Cornerstone OnDemand, GeoLearning, OutStart, Plateau Systems, and SumTotal Systems.

At the end of the webinar, GeoLearning was crowned the winner with Cornerstone OnDemand the runner-up. The presentations were fantastic and HRchitect would like to thank the vendors for participating and the attendees for judging the contestants.
I would also like to extend my personal thanks to Tiffany Appleby, HRchitect’s Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, for her incredible work in making sure these pageants run smoothly. Tiffany does a fantastic job coordinating the vendor practices and presentations as well as being the production manager during these events and I can’t say enough great things about her.
Past winners included iCIMS in the Talent Acquisitions Systems pageant on November 14 with Authoria the runner-up. Cornerstone OnDemand won the Talent Management Systems pageant on November 21 with Plateau Systems the runner-up.
The Beauty Pageants will commence again in January 2009 as follows:
